Samuel J. Capuano, Esq.
Samuel J. Capuano joined Aaronson Schantz Beiley P.A. in June 2016 and focuses his practice in the areas of restructuring for companies and high net worth individuals, out-of-court workouts, the representation of bankruptcy trustees and court-appointed receivers, creditors’ rights, and complex commercial litigation including all aspects of insolvency litigation.
Mr. Capuano has extensive experience representing debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, trustees, receivers, financial institutions, and ownership groups in high stakes litigation in state and federal trial and appellate courts, including in matters related to fraud, preferential and fraudulent transfers, debt recharacterization and subordination, Ponzi schemes, automatic stay violations, contempt, RICO, and director, officer, manager and member liability litigation.
Mr. Capuano graduated cum laude from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2011 and received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of Florida Warrington College of Business in 2008. While in law school, Mr. Capuano earned top honors in several courses including Legal Research and Writing, Appellate Advocacy, and Law and Policy in the Americas, where he was awarded a Book Award for best seminar paper. Mr. Capuano served as a judicial intern to the Honorable William Hoeveler of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida in Miami in 2010.
Mr. Capuano is an active member of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida. Mr. Capuano is a Miami native and enjoys globetrotting, having travelled in over 50 countries across 6 continents.
